What is a Tea Light
A tea light (also tealight, tea lites or tea light, t-lite or tcandles), is a candle encased in a thin metal or plastic cup so that the candle can liquefy completely while lit. They are typically small, circular, wider than their height and inexpensive. Because of their small size and low level of light, multiple tealights are often burned simultaneously. Tealights get their name from their early use in teapot warmers, but are also used as food warmers in general (such as fondue). They are a popular choice for votive candles, and are also suitable for accent lighting and for heating scented oil. Tealights may be floated in water for decorative effect.
There’s Nothing Like a Bee Wilde Beeswax Tea Light!
For hundreds of years, pure beeswax candles have been valued for their very long burn times, and their ability to actually clean the air because they emit negative ions. Additionally, beeswax candles are also naturally smokeless and dripless if burned and cared for properly. Then there is the quality of their light and the warm, honey-like fragrance. Our beeswax candles are all 100 percent pure beeswax from the Bee Wilde Bee & Honey Farm in Montgomery, Texas. Everyone will enjoy their soft light and aroma in any room of your home. So, when you are looking for tea lights, don’t settle for anything less than a 100% pure beeswax tealight!
All Bee Wilde Beeswax Candles are made from only the “cappings” that the bees seal the honeycomb with. Some beekeepers melt down old dark comb but we ONLY USE CAPPINGS FOR OUR BEEWILDE BEESWAX CANDLES. Beeswax is produced and secreted by worker bees from a gland in their abdomen during a strong nectar flow, the nectar provides the much needed energy that the bees use to produce the wax. During the extraction of the honey, the cappings are cut off of the sealed honycomb. The cappings are washed with clean water and melted. Once the wax has been melted we filter the liquid wax through fabric, this removes any large particles of propolis or pollen that may cause the candles not to burn well. Once the wax is clean, we hand pour the wax into candle molds. At Bee Wilde Bee & Honey Farm, we use only use a pure cotton wick, while others use a wick with cores of paper, metal or wood. Cotton wicks are clean burning and natural, burning much brighter and producing a much larger flame.
Once you burn Bee Wilde beeswax candles, nothing will ever compare! You can trust that what you are buying is clean beeswax from our colonies of honeybees. We only use wax that we have harvested. We do not buy wax from other sources . . . our guarantee!
