WE WANT OUR WEBSITE TO PROVIDE YOU WITH HONEST AND STRAIGHT FORWARD INFORMATION ABOUT HOW WE KEEP BEES AND PRODUCE HONEY. Kenny has grown our business from 1 colony of honey bees into 1500 colonies of honey bees. Although tough at times, our journey to this point has been INCREDIBLE!!! Bee Wilde is our term that best describes the way we feel about our honey and the candles that we produce using the beeswax from the hives. Our apiary began as a hobby with a few hives over 15 years ago. Kenny was fascinated with the amazing honey bee and became very interested in the production of honey so he decided to go to work for a commercial beekeeper nearby, Bee Weaver Apiary. After learning some of the ropes, he got serious and grew the business into a family farm that soon became a new lifestyle and is now a self supporting apiary/honey farm. Kenny and his wife Wendy own and operate Reed Family Honey in Montgomery, Texas and are a full time beekeeping family with somewhere around 1500 colonies of honeybees. Kenny maintains and manages all the colonies of honeybees, the breeder queen bees, queen production and is the heart and soul (blood, sweat and tears) of this family operation. Kenny always reminds everyone, "the emphasis must stay on our bees, they are the business." "In these times, the goal is to keep bees healthy, if you can do that, you're doing well." Wendy bottles honey, makes deliveries, participates in local farmer's markets and is responsible for making all of the sought after Bee Wilde pure beeswax candles. Enjoy our website & check back often to see what's new at Bee Wilde!
